A bit south of the main Regent Park core, here's a proposal for a 2-unit townhouse to replace that red coloured house currently on the south side along Shuter Street, just east of the Preston Place laneway (a bit east of Parliament).

Nothing wrong w/the size/intent; but man that will stand out like a sore thumb.

I never understand why people propose things in such a way its more likely to garner opposition, rather than less.

Make it look like a 3s Victorian or Arts and Crafts or w/e and this would pass w/o too much of a fight.

Who knows, if they have open-minded neighbours it may still get through......but seems like tempting fate to me.

I always find those three differently painted cottage homes quite charming when I walk by. I'm not saying I'm against this development. I love modernism and all, but this may be a bit too out there for that cute stretch.

Yeah. That design is an overachiever showing off. It's not appropriate here. Put it in Lawrence Park and piss off some rich people at least.

If you looked at the website you would know it is sports apparel. Not sure this is a great location for them due to not too much passing traffic but maybe they do lots of mail order?
