It must be reiterated at regular intervals that DMW is straight up a terrible human being. I'm fine disagreeing with people who don't share my ideological outlook, but the Deputy Mayor is a harmful idiot.

And, speaking of which:

Whoa there ADRM. This thread is about ridiculous things those loveable idiots on Council say. The Holyday quote has no place here, because it’s true. It’s been scientifically proven that unencumbered streets really are the sum total of Etobicoke’s culture and identity. That and electing morons, of course.

Noting Mammo and his antics in this thread is a bit like shooting fish in a barrel as he can hardly open his mouth without an example but ..

A complaint to the city’s integrity commissioner alleges Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti is improperly using city resources in an appeal where he is acting as a private citizen.

Mammoliti is one of several people who have appealed council’s decision on new ward boundaries at the province’s Ontario Municipal Board, a land use planning tribunal.

Toronto resident Tyler Johnson told the integrity commissioner’s office that at least one member of Mammoliti’s staff, community relations and issues specialist Jason Wang, was assisting with the appeal and that other staff members may be helping also.

Johnson filed the complaint Friday.

"It reminds me of China," he says, to gasps from some in audience. "Now we want to bring a third world country into the city of Toronto."

Here we go again with Denzil, he has put forward a motion to give points any bus manufacturer that is willing to build electric buses in Toronto because as he puts it: "If we're putting in multi-million dollar orders for rolling stock, why not make some jobs for folks in Toronto?".

Yes, because i'm sure a company would be fully willing to build a manufacturing facility from scratch costing hundreds of millions, to build 10 buses worth $10 million. Sometimes I wonder if he uses any kind of logic in his day to day life outside of City Hall.
