Yeah, I don't really find anything in there to be surprising, then again, some people might. Municipal politics has always been sickly intertwined with councillors and mayoral private businesses, pretty much since time itself began. Kinsella's attempted mudslinging on something everyone already knows: municipal politicians often get into it to further their own private interests and Deco is a highly profitable private fiefdom of the Fords like every other family business. Who could be shocked by learning this...

The school year starts in September and ends in June the following year.

September 2004 - June 2005 -- Grade 9
September 2005 - June 2006 -- Grade 10
September 2006 - June 2007 -- Grade 11
September 2007 - June 2008 -- Grade 12

2004-2008; four 'school years' which span 5 calendar years.

Oh I realize. Ford is also nowhere near the orator that Long was. But like you said the us vs the elites (or fatcats in long's day) populism coupled with the wanton criminality... It fits very well

Saw some speculation here that the "Alana" was someone who also went by the name "Persian Princess". When I saw the info about the escort Tuesday I googled Alana, escort Toronto and I got a backpages page that has since been taken down (Wednesday morning), the cached version is here, she's blond, don't know for sure but seems possible.

Alana is not Persian Princess. When I saw that on reddit the other day I emailed the address on the Persian Princess web site and she emailed me back and we ended up talking on the phone. She said that site that it was first posted on just makes shit up, apparently for a while they were saying she was (no joke) Al Qaeda. Anyway she said she's never met the Fords and I believed her.

Yeah, I saw that "Persian Princess"/ ALana Sasha profile and the body looks nothing like the Alana K******, that's why I thought the Alana on Backpages was more likely a match, same hair colour, same body type and my suspicion grew when the profile disappeared same time as her twitter feed etc went missing.

Yeah, seeing her face it's not the same. That picture shows up in Barrie Ontario, Pennsylvannia, California, Arkansas, she gets around!
