What compared to all the other stellar rumour, gossip and innuendo posted on the forum? Probably not but the point being made was she could sink him and all I was saying is don't wait for it.

Yup. Robyn Doolittle's book mentions that Renata's first marriage may have broken up, in part, due to her drinking. Doolittle mentioned in interviews that she has a lot of information about Ford family members that she didn't think it was OK to disclose in the book. So to me it seems likely that the first marriage breaking up in this way is the proverbial tip of the iceberg.
Renata leaving or telling on Rob looks to me a bit like mutually assured destruction. She could do some serious damage to him, but she probably has some embarrassing secrets of her own (everyone does, really), and if she can't parent her two school-aged kids without her parents there to "help" every day, her position in a custody battle isn't very strong. I'm not aware that she has a job, or when she last had one, or whether she has any higher education or marketable skills. Even if she got an order for decent spousal support, the Fords have much deeper pockets than she ever will -- and that's assuming that the only vengeance they would take would be legal and above-board, which is not a safe assumption. That's in addition to the ordinary misery of upending one's life that comes with any divorce.

Speaking for myself, and doubtless many others, I am happy to welcome newcomers to the forum and would like to apologize for what may seem like a harsh rebuff rather than a warm welcome.
Forums, espcially those based on topics which generate passion and strong opinion (such as ours), take on an emotional life of their own. They tend to cycle through periods of infighting, love-ins, dissent and disbelief, groupthink, and other normal human reactions, good andbad. So sometimes they are fun and interesting, sometimes they are boring, sometimes they are nuts, and sometimes they are nasty.
Do recognize that just about everyone here is strongly emotionally vested to the idea of legal and political justice for our bonehead crackhead dunderhead shithead mayor. When our hopes are stirred by the possibility of just desserts, only to be dashed again, things spill over into frustration and even a bit of paranoia. It's quite understandable, and it's part of how people deal.
Please, new members, ride it out. Just as the rest of us are.

The Toronto Mike comment was different: an anonymous fella claiming second-hand knowledge of Robbie's crack habit, posted long before the Gawker/Star story broke. Went mostly unnoticed until then.

I've got Rogers on for the day 2 Council meeting. During the food cart presentation (around 10:15'ish) one of the Councillors (Perks?) interrupted and asked the Speaker to have the "Mayor" remove his campaign sign from the Chamber. The Speaker complied and noted that the "Mayor" was removing the sign now. I didn't actually see this, so I don't know what Ford had displayed, I just heard it while I was working on a project.
He's back to his old self and usual crap, don't fret over him.
