It was mentioned that the City of Toronto has not yet received notice from Rob Ford about when he's coming back. So nothing official. His brother Doug said he would by back July 1st. So two weeks I guess. He's way down in the polls so maybe he will reconsider. Somehow I doubt this though.

Also the RoFo election twitter account has been really working the countdown (and nothing else) look for a tweet "13 days" in about an hour.

Okay. But still, the electors keep putting this jerk in office. Stupid electors? Or, is there a lack of will out there -- like, where are the good candidates and why can't someone campaign successfully against this fucking goofball?

I think John Barber has been remarkably consistent - and pretty much the only one who had been willing to publically call the RoDoFoMammo BS out. Whoever is the next mayor should give him the key to the city (and strip it from Chuvalo BS).

Apparently Ford has sent the City written notice that he will be returning to work at 1:00 on June 30th.

Good to see he's returning to his regular work hours.

Name recognition is the single most important factor for municipal elections. Political parties and instant runoff ballots are two options to weed out the radicals and nut jobs.

Plus, the job only pays $100k. What competent Toronto professional is going to take a 50% pay cut just to sit in a shitty councillor's office, deal with enraged locals, avoid landing on the wrong side of developers/organized crime and get called a pedophile by your co-workers.

I'm back! Security here concluded their investigation into the mystery note. It's hopeless trying to find out who did it but the usual suspects (Sandro, etc) weren't on the security footage. It will remain a mystery, along with who the Ford murder rant video is really about haha. I just have to be more cautious about what I type so I don't piss my brother off.
