What is with Drug referring to himself in the third person?
Doug Ford says she’s a liar,” Councillor Ford told reporters Thursday. “Never met her and outside of what you guys say or report, she’s lying.

Does that mean he will soon be buck naked running down the street? A.k.a. he has seriously lost it.

Why the F%$# Do People Refer to Themselves in the Third Person?

Response No. 1, by Elsa Ronningstam, associate clinical professor of psychology at Harvard Medical School and author of Identifying and Understanding the Narcissistic Personality: Referring to yourself in the third person creates distance between "I" and "he." So if you have an exaggerated view of how great you are, you could be using this distance to make yourself even bigger. Or, if you've achieved major success suddenly, using the third person could be a way to adjust to the bigger role that's been assigned to you. It's a way to enlarge yourself to fit that role.

Ford family dynamics:

Rob has just been put in quite a position: publicly claim that his big bro is lying about having met McRobb; or piss off his side-squeeze by saying she's the liar about having met Doug (possibly angering her into spilling other beans...). Maybe it's a test of loyalty by Dougie (dad would've been proud *sniff*). ;)

(I presume he'll just deflect the question entirely with "I can't talk about anything in rehab" -- but maybe DoFo will turn the screw and demand a full exoneration. Or mummy will. Lol)

And I quote the G&M:

During the campaign, he said, Doug Ford told him, “‘Once we’re elected, I’m going to personally introduce you to every CEO in the city.’”
...
He was initially so impressed with Doug Ford, he said, that it did not startle him when Mr. Ford pronounced on a business trip to the Fords’ label plant in New Jersey exactly how lofty his political ambitions had become.

“And then he said, ‘Len, I’m going to go one step further. I want to be premier of Ontario,’ and he says, ‘Hudak may win the next election, but I’m going to win the one after that.’” The trip took place in 2010, before Mr. Ford had been elected as a city councillor, Mr. Rudner said.

I do wonder how McRobb could afford $1,000/day rehab treatment. GreenStone's an exclusive place for very wealthy people. Her dad rents out a couple of cottages but sure doesn't sound like she's from money or has a high paying job. More answers coming, no doubt!

sorry if this was already reposted and i just haven't gotten to it yet. (i'm just too excited / gotta share, and i'm catching up from last night, anyway...)

leeanne appears to have a "side job"...

The timing of the conch shell thing and the Stintz-rattled-after-the-meeting-with-Ford thing is a bit spooky.

We've gone full Lord of the Flies @reporterdonpeat: Man walks into council chamber and blows a conch shell, security escorts him out #TOpoli

Dale's hashtag for his tweet re the same - #piggy.

Thinking about this tweet about Rob getting an X-ray. I wonder if this has to do with McRobb's car being damaged? Hence why he helped getting it fixed? And who goes to Sandro Lisi's garage to cut down on media scrutiny?

maybe i'll see that one of you found it and it's posted a few pages away from where i am, but...

i could have sworn we learn that leeanne crashed her own car before borrowing the escalade... but i can't seem to find reference to that now (yet?)

I think it was a different post(?), relating to where she was living at the time she was arrested on the DUI; there were photos of houses in two different places (one with a snowmobile with a missing windshield on the lawn), and, IIRC, in that context there was a post about a neighbour, or something like that, telling a junior 'reporter' from the Sun (can't recall name) that she had lost her job at the bank some months before. (I would try to search back for this but I never seem to have any luck with searches on UT, and the way that so-called recent posts works means that when I look at my own the latest one is older than the date when McRobb first 'appeared' here.)

I found this, which is linked to a CBC article.

"The source also said the McRobb was in an accident with her own car some time ago, but had no information on how she might have come to be driving Ford's SUV."

The label business is so good that Mom and Dad were able to put aside $30 million in a trust fund?
They've been around a long time, but sales in the first 30 years probably weren't high enough to skim off a million a year.

there have been a few posts about this that i resisted replying to (again, waiting to see if it's already been said, but i can't wait anymore.)

don't forget it's not just deco and tags, they have properties and a holding company, doug ford holdings inc.

Between their private residences, their three Florida condominium units, their three plots of Muskoka land and waterfront cottage, as well as three swaths of commercial land – totalling 156,421 square feet – owned by companies they control, the Ford family has real estate holdings worth more than $10-million. That figure is based on valuations conducted by MPAC, the Municipal Property Assessment Corp., which is responsible for valuing land for tax purposes. It is also based on tax assessments in Broward County, which is where their Florida vacation properties are located.

When the Ford family patriarch, Doug Ford Sr., died in 2006, there was very little that was divulged about his net worth in Ontario court estate filings. But a deeper dive into the Ford family’s property records shows that as of early 2013, the estate contained enough to make a $5-million loan. In late March, the Estate of Douglas B. Ford loaned $5-million to the Ford family holding company, Doug Ford Holdings Inc.

thanks! how they worded it there helped me find this...

She had crashed her own car recently, an unnamed source told him.

Source at #RobFord rehab says woman driving Mayor's impounded SUV was a patient but disicharged 5-6 days ago.Crashed her own car days ago

Would be great if it was just a conspiracy theory wouldn't it?

Except it sounds so damn plausible given the habits of Mayor Moron.
And what's so meager about five thousand bucks and paying off a car fix?
A similar offer was good enough for an attempted buyout of the crack video wasn't it?

See, more proof of downtown elitist gravy train spending.
You people don't know the value of a dollar, folks!

This stupid, incompetent, dangerous and compromising position Mayor Moron
seems to constantly put himself, and the city into.
This pretzel...is really making me thirsty.

'cause it's a strong pet peeve of mine, i gotta say...

calling something a theory does not mean it's not true / not something observable (e.g. the theory of gravity). but since most people do use the term incorrectly, i enjoy using the term conspiracy fact once it's proven.
