Actually, with his father dying of colon cancer, they recommend earlier screening. Unfortunately, my husband died of colon cancer at the age of 53, so they recommended that our kids get checked starting around 40 yrs.Doctors usually push for it when the patient is around 50 years old.
Let's not forget we hold cancer patients to a nearly saintly height that is just one step below speaking badly of the dead.

What kind of dummy has abdominal pains for three months and does nothing until the pain gets to be too much? Especially someone.... in his "condition". Let's face it, he's hardly the picture of health and surely he must recognize that.
