Lots and lots of people don't like going to doctors and, for various other reasons, ignore problems and hope they will just magically resolve themselves. You'd be surprised.

Or if pattycakes is right about the doctor's note and he withdraws, my guess is he'll wait til after the deadline to withdraw from the race. Just so the die hards of Ford Nation can still vote for the Worst Mayor Ever.

Rob's self image is that he's an "athlete" - football tosses, tearing up city hall stairs and ditto subway stairs, running while canvassing. Athletes don't get sick and alcoholics don't go to the doctor because they don't want to hear the truth.
