Between the possibilities of whatever Jude has going and Soks docs, I am going to be away from the computer for hours - this usually means something will happen. Fingers crossed.

Jazz daddy-o.

I can thank my father for knowing exactly what hper meant. Time to cue up Frank Zappa's "Little house I used to live in" from the epic album "burnt weeny sandwich".

P.S. Doug's done like dinner, he'll be lucky to get 15% of the vote.

I doubt he will fall under 20%. Ford Nation is very loyal.

Today on the campaign trail: Mayoral candidates debate hosted by Bloor West Village & Swansea Area Ratepayers Associations at 7 p.m.

Doug may prefer to skip this one. Both RA's are very anti-development. I plan on going. Looking forward to meeting the FN howler monkey crew.

Some of the older people in Swansea still refuse to admit that they now belong to Toronto. They were only annexed into the City of Toronto in 1967.

I can work with you. Yup, another ringing endorsement.

"Ford brought up a brief conversation he said he had with the minister as evidence that he too has the ability to work with other levels of governments to implement his subway-heavy transit plan.
“I went up and I shook his hand and I said, ‘I look forward to working with you.’ He looked back at me and he said, “You know, Doug, I look forward to working with you, and I can work with you.’ Those were his exact words: ‘I can work with you,’” Ford said.
Ford imbued those words with meaning. Sousa’s office made clear that he did not mean them meaningfully.
“The people of Ontario expect me as minister of finance to work with anyone who is democratically elected, and that’s what I intend to do,” Sousa said in an email sent by his office. “However, it’s worth noting that I was co-chair for Mr. Tory’s 2003 mayoral campaign.”

Why is Soks putting this out on a Friday afternoon? Seems like terrible timing for an important story in this saga.

They are loyal but they are also less likely to vote according to a recent poll. I think many of the Ford Nationals will stay home once it's clear Tug doesn't stand a chance.

And Mr. Ford is most popular among eligible voters who said they were less likely to vote. He has 49% support of those who said they were only “likely†to vote (as opposed to “certainâ€), and 46% support of those who said they “might†vote.

On the other hand he may just join for precisely that reason - and recall they are quite willing to go the full NIMBY mode (re: autism centre, Humber Valley Village), business development be damned if it suits their needs. Oh and look what I've found:

Griffin Centre is in North Etobicoke - this area is more Bloor West Village/Swansea/Junction. Different vibe than the further suburbs (at least I'd hope so - will see later).

Doug Ford is done. He's unliked, has no campaign structure and no room for growth. Every minute wasted fighting him means less time spent trying to keep Rob out of Ward 2.

If Doug keeps on getting 30% in the polls, they will show up. However, I wonder if we could see a change in those numbers soon.

Now that is loyalty!

This is awesome.

Doug Ford basically doesn’t say a single true thing during his Metro Morning interview
This morning’s interview with Doug Ford on CBC’s Metro Morning was an amazing demonstration of the mayoral candidate’s ability to bluster. Under withering questioning from host Matt Galloway, Ford not only refused to engage with reality, but actually substituted his own alternate-universe take. At one point, Galloway confronted Ford with the fact that his city council attendance record is among the worst (which is absolutely true). “I was in the chamber,†Ford replied. “I had one of the best attendance records for showing up, being there.†Asked about his consistently inaccurate claims about the city budget, Ford accused Galloway of being ignorant of the city’s finances, which are public knowledge. “I’ve never had an interview that someone’s been so disingenuous to me in my life,†Ford said, disingenuously.

So new random "attack people" twitter account pops up, she's attacking Ari to be exact and used an anti-semitic slur to address him (to SAL who not so surprisingly despite being Jewish decided not to call it out since chick is a Ford supporter) and Andray Domise. She has no internet presence before September 28th, yet her profile picture is a professional head shot. Jonathon Goldsbie tweeted something about that twitter account having a different name previously (Calib Sanchez). Kelly Gail Ford has no internet presence beyond that one twitter account that I can find. Smells like a QueensQuayKaren situation.

Just thought I'ld drop this here :D

That professional headshot is - also according to Goldsbie - a photo of Mary, Crown Princess of Denmark. I doubt Her Royal Highness is really on Twitter childishly bashing Ford critics.
