I'm going to try and find out if an EA is considered a city employee.

EA = Executive Assistant?

I believe Graeme is ( was? ) an SA = Special Assistant.
https://www.google.ca/search?q="rob...ress&q="graeme+mceachern"+"special+assistant"

Not sure which hat he is wearing now:
"Wearer of many hats for Doug Ford Campaign. Formerly Special Assistant to Mayor Rob Ford. Formerly Director of Rob Ford Campaign Headquarters"

It looks like Doug has an EA, a CA, an AA and an SA:

He comes across as one angry, parochial dork. At least when Ford goes back to being a councillor there will be less interest in his schedule and communications and all the things Graeme handles. Anyone know what he did before he worked for Rob?

The story is that he was a sommelier (!?!) at Harbour 60... Rob's regular guy steak house of choice.

Seems just about bizarre enough to be true ... the man of the common people gleaning the insights of a guy serving the wine-sipping elite ...

Harbour 60 - favourite hang-out of Tom Jacobek, Mike Harris… (You get the picture; steak with over-rated cabernet sauvignon marked up 300%.)

What he was at CH, in fact (as opposed to empty title), was the receptionist (and chief fish feeder) in RF's office. If he has returned to RF's office at CH then he has returned to being a City employee.

World's best steak house?

Most likely unrelated, but Ford was on the radio this morning plugging Harbour Sixty ("it's the best steakhouse in the world"). Also, the owners of the restaurant had made a $9,152 donation to Ford during the last election, for what it's worth.

That's what I thought too. Who pays the assistants? The councillor or the city?

That's pretty cheap for an extended radio spot complete with celebrity endorsement.
