People are looking for their few minutes of fame without thinking how stupid they end up looking. It's also the station's fault for not having a 7 second delay.

I really can't tell if he doesn't know how to spell write properly, or if he just cut off the "W" before it. Normally you'd expect the latter, but...

Looks to me like shorthand from whoever wrote/supervised the release. They probably wanted to end on a stronger statement, but didn't have anything in mind. Then Rob's people — known for their thoroughness — released the working draft.
