Sometimes, the IHTWOMRF people are a special level of stupid and unlucky:

"I Hate The War on Mayor Rob Ford
8 hrs ·
LOL Rob's worst-ever hire (and best-ever fire), the Quisling Mark Towhey, has found a new gig. Campaign manager for PC Party leadership candidate Patrick Brown. Here he is, mudslinging against Christine Elliott's campaign. Meanwhile, Christine's campaign has been Seinfeldian for its NOTHINGNESS. Every press release is about nothing other than how many members she claims to have signed up. Can't find a principle or serious stand anywhere. Now, is she pumping misleading robocalls to Patrick Brown supporters? Who knows, it's possible when the Kouvalis crew is behind you. Finally, Rob's choice in the race of MONTE MCNAUGHTON is staying above the fray and displaying nothing but class, while standing strong on principles and key issues like the power grid, and the Ben Levin child porn curriculum. Conclusion? Rob's instincts, once again, reign supreme. Monte it is."

And 8 hours later, McNaughton drops out.

Should be interesting to see if the post stays or is deleted. And, if it stays, how the admins track back from the statement.

Rob's instincts, indeed.

This is precious:

First this...
Chris Bronisevsky In the past 48 hrs I've received three emails, one from OPCP Pres Richard Ciano with details on what's next in the party leadership, one from Elliott Campaign and one from Brown Campaign, all three went straight to Junk Mail Folder, have kept only the first one for the voting links included in that particular email. 100% certain as soon as you become party member all your private details (name, address, email, phone number, etc.) become party property and all party leadership candidates have access to them. That does not mean they should normally take advantage of that particular detail and start using robocalls and/or unsolicited emails in order to get you on their side. Will be voting Monte McNaughton for OPCP leadership.

Then this a few hours later...
Chris Bronisevsky IF you're a BLUE Conservative, now that Monte is out of the race, please vote for Patrick Brown as the new OPCP leader, he IS a true BLUE Conservative like all of us on this FB page.

Chris is hysterical, a real hard liner that changes direction with the wind, from the latrine.

I just had a job interview with Music Canada. I was surprised to hear they were behind the whole Austin thing and Ford just took credit for it. Funny, they said the first trip was right in the middle of the Lisi stuff and it overshadowed the whole trip.

Surprised, Jimmi? Jumping on the bandwagon and then claiming the credit (but not blame) is a basic Rob tactic, as far as I can tell. The Scarborough subway extension and Woodbine Live come immediately to mind. And as you know, Rob was the one who taught Doug and Randy how to run the family business.

Former city councillor Doug Ford is sitting down with CP24 to discuss the PC leadership race and other topics. Tune in for LIVE coverage.

They needed a ratings boost.

Ford says he thinks the Liberals would “tear Patrick Brown apart” if he is elected as PC leader.

"Christine (Elliot) is the only person that can beat Kathleen Wynne," Ford says.

Not sure if his blustering benefits her.

I don't think much of either Elliot or Brown, but I suppose one 'bright spot' if Brown wins would be Doug's chances of getting brought in on some sort of sweetheart basis plunging - especially after he finishes slagging Brown on CP20Ford (and, no doubt, on any other outlet craven enough to give him a microphone).

Though the FN base is a far better fit with Brown than Elliot. Well, one's asset is now a liability.

Got this response from the city regarding Doug's idea:

Hello,

This is to acknowledge your correspondence to the City Clerk's Office general enquiry email box dated April 3, 2015 regarding the temporary appointment to fill an absence in Ward 2 Council seat.

Please be advised that there is no provision in the City of Toronto Act or any other legislation for the appointment of an interim or temporary member to act in the place of an elected Councillor during a medical-related absence.

The City of Toronto Act does include provision for City Council to excuse the absence of a member, such as for a medical leave, to prevent forfeiture of office. Council has done this several times in the past. During this absence of a Councillor, no person can occupy the seat and participate in debates on the member's behalf.

If a member of Council resigns, Council would meet within 60 days to declare the seat vacant and decide whether to hold a by-election or appoint a permanent replacement.

If you have any further questions, please contact Terry Wertepny of the City Clerk's Office at 416-392-8107.

Also, this:

Rob never did read any rules.
