Would he? I don't think his heart is in municipal politics, esp. when his chances of making it big at the upper levels is geting increasingly dim these days.

Maybe someone should take another look at his numbers in the last mayoral race. The Fords that ran in 2010 are not the Fords that ran in 2014, and any Fords running in a by-election for the seat any time soon have been shown to be worse than what we knew of them just a year ago. Doug's demonstration in the HarperFester probably wouldn't win him votes this time around even if Doug ran on a "do it for the Gipper" platform.

A lot has changed since the Fords' 2010 heyday: Occupy, Idle No More, Black Lives Matter. the youth vote campaign and the Federal election among other things have changed the playing field. Remember that Rob ran unsuccessfully in 1997, and that was while his Dad was an MPP. Churches, community organizations and the schools have been responding to the fallout of Ford's mismanagement as mayor on their 'clients'. Maybe Mikey actually enjoys what he's doing and it wouldn't look good on him if jumped ship. If he wants to pursue politics better he run next time.

I'm hoping Andray considers making another run. People city-wide would support him with donations and volunteers. He's been making a real difference; he hasn't gone away. He'd have to make a more populist appeal wrapped around his intellectual depth, but a "We can do better together" pitch might find some traction. Okay, so Etobicoke got the Woodbine Casino, but Rob was absent for most of that. If Andray ran against Doug that would provide a pretty stark contrast in the vision being offered up. And Doug would look pretty crass running on Rob's cancer/death. Is Etobicoke ready to move on? Does the ward want to stay with the Ford's Dysfunctional Dynasty?

Beats using staff to deliver sandwiches to his girl, I suppose. He must have spent the last few days reviewing the expenses in the worst. pain. ever.

Does he not realize that he has a deadly disease that he should care about?

Clearly, he still haven't reassessed his priorities yet. Diming about cab fares while having 9.5 pain from a scale of 1 to 10 is surely the pathway to sainthood. Where's that iconography posted on here again?

Can't stop penny pinching and dissing councilors even on his deathbed, not that Rob wrote a word of it. Good replies to the tweet tho. Is Rob planning to be at Council to raise these pressing issues?

This is basically a guy using his last remaining moments on Earth to say "Screw you!" to his colleagues. Glad to see he still has his priorities straight.

I think those were done by Animatronic. Time for some new images of Saint Robbicus Etobicokenensis.

He was going to come out "fighting wasted tax dollars" and ready for 2018, but instead this now looks petty and pathetic.

Pretty powerful National Post cover. It's a giant pic of Ford making a grumpy cat face with his eyes closed and that quote asking the public to take care of his kids in a large font.

Why so grim, folks. Rob is still running in 2018. Does the Municipal Act specify that a candidate for mayor is required to be "living" during the course of the campaign?

Dead people have voted, so why can't they run for office?
