38% approval for a councilor who hasn't actually been there for how long now? That's really good. Even I like him better when he's not there.

As for Mr. Tory, what's the story on that Police Budget increase? I'm waiting to hear from Thompson in that discussion. Maybe another flippity-flop if the anti-taxers are up for it.

Never forget the crazy factor. Some of those FN people are very loyal, even if he doesn't even bother to show up at work!

Lately this is the best they have been able to dig up (except for all the racist/bigotry):

What also stood out is Towhey says former staff are being treated for PTSD, as if they'd been in a war zone!
Towhey says, in excerpt from his book posted above by evva, that he thought he was the best person to "protect" the staff. What did he do? He told them not to ride with Rob if he was driving drunk. Well I guess he couldn't tell them to call 911 to arrange for a police escort.

I am delighted by the phrase "citizen Fordologist".

I caught most of The Agenda at 8pm. I've read Fillion's book but not Towhey's but I don't think I learned anything from the interviews I didn't already know other than the fact that Johanna Schneller can see Towhey's point of view after helping him write his book. I would have liked to see Towhey talk about whether or not Rob Ford has the capacity to understand complex issues (Fillion thinks not, although he gives him credit for expertise in football and simple constituent maintenance issues) and if not how he could really feel good about supporting an agenda based on staggeringly simplistic thought processes, but beyond admitting that the Fords were constantly taking bad advice from their Night Shifts he didn't really address the relationship between simplistic thinking and bad policy.
The whole book smacked of self promotion on the part of Towhey. His ability to gloss over staggering behaviors of Fords is a note to future employers that he can spin anything. Its a weird line to take and tainted the whole read for me. I was truly shocked at his allegations of Renata's behavior and the fact that he spilled it. Guys a douche.

Any escort arrangements for RoFo probably had more to do with Cachet than with the police.

i don't know if i totally believe that. who could he mean? all the ones i can think of seem to be doing fine.
PTSD just means you experienced a trauma (which can happen in many ways as a result of a severe of prolonged exposure to stress and fear) and similar stimulus keeps triggering serious emotions.
Different folks deal with stress differently and honestly, being the daughter and sister of addicted angry men, it takes a LONG time to unravel those knots.
