I had a different take on that altogether. After the extortion charges were dropped as related to Siad, I figured they got into cahoots. A couple of your posts seem to indicate a grudging respect for Sandro's courage. You say gangster like its a good thing?

Since he's the guy who actually took the video, Siad is very likely to be a witness at Lisi's extortion trial. So, either Lisi just gets a kick out of watching people get sentenced, or he was sending Siad a message, since it's probably the last time he'll be seeing him before that TBD court date.

Cops have a similar trick when one of their own is on trial, they show up en masse and in uniform and intimidate the hell of witnesses and jurors.

This is interesting: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toron...-pleads-guilty-to-gun-drug-offences-1.3161665
Without saying too much and without saying what I've seen (don't want to get into trouble), but this photo CBC is using sure looks like a screencap from a video... (not THE video)

(Without saying too much and without saying what I've seen) you might be right. Although I don't recall him having that ridiculous chin beard in the thing we're not talking about.

Also, I can't believe the CBC hasn't locked the thing we're not talking about in a bomb-proof vault and wrapped it in kryptonite, or at the very least kept it away from the millenials who post their stories to the web.

Wasn't Siad interviewed in that Fifth Estate documentary on Rofo? Isn't it more likely this screen capture would be from something like that?

As it's becoming increasingly inevitable that Rob Ford's opponents will fight amongst themselves and propel Ford into the Mayor's chair, what do you think Toronto will look like in 4 years at the end of his term?

Will development stall? Will the province give up on Transit City? What services do you think will be cut? Will festivals like LuminaTO and NuitBlanche collapse from lack of support from City Hall?

Let's make some realistic predictions. Please discuss.
I know that if 100 people put in $100 = $10,000 , then the 100 people can vote on anything and help the idea for 1 month and do this every month
$100 means nothing to me, but giving the money to an intelligent person does. The only thing that stalls Toronto is selfishness and if we are so selfish
that allow 1 person to have $10,000 to make a company that will benefit our country then we are too selfish to have money and dont deserve it
and inevitably our money will be worth nothing because we could agree. The problem with a intelligent person is usually they are introverted and dont speak
to others because in truth 99% of the people dont make sense. I would rather give all my money to an intelligent person because obviously they are more intelligent than me
100 people times $100 makes sense

These coy moments on UT drive me nuts, but people got reasons, I guess. Is this thing that's not being talked about something that came up during Lisi's prelim (and thus subject to the ban)?

Treasure Cay? Hope Town?
So, now Rob's in the Bahamas?!?
yup. i see it as an extra slap in the face to siad. today he finds out if he gets a 7 or 10 year sentence, while robbie is enjoying a beach in the bahamas. i wonder if his "friend chris brown" is the track star from there...

eta: looks like he got 8 years...
The man who secretly recorded former mayor Rob Ford smoking what appeared to be crack cocaine has been sentenced to eight years in prison on gun and drug trafficking charges, but will only serve another four years and 10 months after being credited with time served.

but, ummm... he was arrested 2 years and 1 month ago... that plus 4 years and 10 months only adds up to just under 7 years, not 8. what am i missing?

K. I was thinking Siad must have said he wasn't going to testify against Lisi and the cops had to drop those charges. As for the grudging respect thing, I figured Jimmi was working the long game. Letting Lisi get the idea he is a sympathetic writer who might deserve an exclusive.

Credit for time served can be weighted. Based on your numbers I would guess that he was given 1.5 x his actual time served, so 8 years less 3 yrs and 1.5 months?

WTF, Flagg still doesn't believe the crack video exists lol.

It isn't all that surprising. He is long past the point of being reasonable. Last month, he told me on Twitter that carding was a good policy, even though many Ford voters are minorities who would be subjected to racial profiling.

For those who don't go to IHTWORF here is the post:
Col. Flagg said:
His "Rob Ford Crack Video" is still only available to be viewed by Liberal Party former Police Chiefs who like to interfere with justice for political gain. Probably because the "Rob Ford Crack Video" doesn't show Rob Ford smoking crack at all. Meanwhile, Mohamed Siad is now in the can for gun and drug trafficking crimes. By the time he's out, Rob will be back in the Mayor's chair.

And after it was brought up in the comments that Robbie admitted to smoking crack at Kathy's:
The only reasonable explanation as to why the tape has never been released, is that the tape clearly does not show Rob Ford smoking crack. Therefore it serves the haters' purpose better to have the "Rob Ford Crack Tape" in the public's imagination, then it does to have the real thing in the public's discerning eye.

It's all about the Ford/Flagg Nation against "The Wolf Pack" (media) and socialists/communists/Liberals. A finer group of heterophobes cannot be found in Canada; reading about Trump although gives the feeling déjà vu.

Yeah, he freely admitted doing a ton of drugs. How can Flagg deny that?

Anyway, I am liking how boring things are these days.

Ford Fest: ‘Rob’s really itching to do it in North York,’ says Doug Ford
On Tuesday, he said the family were checking possible dates and locations and would make an announcement “probably in the next week.”

Ford added he’s talked with younger brother Rob, former Toronto mayor and current North Etobicoke councillor, about hosting Ford Fest in a new location.

“Rob’s really itching to do it in North York.”
[...]
They have also said the parties aren’t welcome any longer at the home of their mother, Diane Ford.

The last Ford Fest so far was held in an Islington Avenue parking lot late last September, after Rob Ford had started cancer treatment and Doug Ford had taken his place as candidate for mayor.

This week, Doug Ford said the family knows a lot of its support comes from Scarborough and Etobicoke, where the parties are appreciated.

But the family has supporters in North York, too, he added.

“We may do a triple-header.”
