This is really pissing me off. What would they have done if Ford had hit someone? How far would they have gone to cover up for Ford? Didn't any of his staff think it was FUCKING WRONG to let the mayor drive drunk? These guys are the real "prostitutes" in this story, selling their morals for their jobs.

Not tarnishing Alana with the sex trade worker label because there ARE stories percolating amongst friends & associates of Ford frollicking (think I just threw up in my mouth a little) with *actual* sex trade workers though the story I heard did not take place in a public setting. Ford is an ignorant buffoon beyond all compare but even he would (I hope) know better than to party with his 'hos outside of closed doors. Alana seems an innocent and naive bystander tarnished with the Ford stain.
I'm not sure how or why these other women, actual sex trade workers, have NOT come forward to shed some truths on Ford's exXxtracurricular activities...but then I remember what's happened to the three guys in the photo that was the start of this insane story, and well.....
If only the police could speak with Ford's security detail and get some truths from them.....they've seen, they know.

I think one of their excuses was that they believed the police were already aware of Ford's drinking and driving.
And, hey, as long as it wasn't them (or someone they knew) who was injured or killed, I don't think they would've given a flying fuck, unless their careers were affected. IMO.

Well, anybody with half a brain could have predicted disaster was ahead just not at this epic proportion. We did have many years of watching him in council as a warning but obviously, some people were willing to overlook his many faults and deficiencies. There's a sucker born every minute.

This is on Ford - more specifically it's on the allegation that he was "consorting with a woman believed to be a prostitute" in his office during a drunken St. Patrick's Day binge that he has admitted to. Ford said the allegation is a lie. Sorry, but I can't take him at his word, given his track record lately. I also can't take the woman's parents or her co-worker at their word because it's possible they may not know about this particular aspect of her life (if it is true).
It's unfortunate for the woman involved, but you cannot discuss the allegation without discussing the woman. And it's difficult to discuss the woman and her motivation for being in Fords office without discussing the possibilty that she's an escort, or a prostitute, or both, or neither. She may indeed have been there in her "official capacity" as Miss Toronto Tourism 2010. Even though this was now March of 2012 and there had been at least one - and possibly two - more recent "Miss Toronto Tourism"s since her reign, and Miss Toronto Tourism is not an officially sanctioned title of the City of Toronto anyways (that's already been documented elsewhere in this forum). She may have gone to City Hall to fight a parking ticket, got lost and stopped by the Mayor's office to ask for directions.
The allegation of a prostitute in Fords office during an admitted drunken binge is a serious issue. It is either true or it is false. Right now there is no proof either way, but there is evidence that points to the possiblility that it may be true, or that it may be false. And there are people who have read headlines that say things like "Allegation of Prostitute in Fords Office" and automatically assume it to be true. Or to be false and part of a left wing media conspiracy.
Sorry, but I can't hop aboard with the premise that we shouldn't discuss this because it is not about Ford - it is about Ford.

I don't think this is about Rob Ford caring. It's about individuals and organizations from everwhere in the political spectrum putting aside their differences and coming together in condemnation of Rob Ford. Gee, after re-reading that I kind of feel like joining hands and singing Kumbuyah.

You know, we are never going to get anywhere if we don't vocally and publicly demonstrate we will no longer put up with Ford and his Village. I'm tired of being nice. Time to stop being nice and start hitting back. Who cares if this hurts Ford Village? I hear this all the time. Don't protest because it will alienate [insert group here]. How far has that gotten us? Ford Village is still here, still hateful, still ignorant.

I watched the interview with her friend and "colleague" - Michael - and he's as old or older than Ford! I'm not saying that this makes her a sex-worker but she seems to like to hang out with guys old enough to be her father. Also Michael said that as far as he is aware Alana had never met Ford before St Paddy's day. I think the fact that Ford described her as a "friend" and we have video of both of them in an Easter parade two years ago disproves this statement. Again not suggesting that Alana "K" is a sex worker - I just didn't find her friend to be credible.

His describing her as a "friend" doesn't mean they "hang out" one-on-one or outside of work hours. Lots of people work with people old enough to be their parents. I really see no reason to believe their relationship isn't innocent. And he may not actually be in a position to know what she does after hours, so he may be wrong, but that doesn't mean he's lying.
