Michael Moore urges Toronto residents to vote out Rob Ford

“It’s funny for a while,” Moore told the Toronto Sun about Rob Ford’s “train wreck” tenure as the mayor. “And then it wasn’t funny. And now it’s really NOT funny! Okay, we got the joke. Now it’s got to be over!”

Asked if he would ever vote for Ford himself, if he lived in Toronto, Moore said bluntly: “Oh God, no! No!”....

“It’s not that people here are not embarrassed, but I think a lot of people here love the comedy. It’s a rebellious thing to have a mayor who is that: He is a complete train wreck.”

It will be interesting to see how CP2Ford handles his loss, since they catered to Ford Nayshun for the last four years.

Whatever happened to Soknacki releasing the FOI stuff that proves Ford was campaigning at City Hall?

Whatever happened to Soknacki releasing the FOI stuff that proves Ford was campaigning at City Hall?

But despite levelling the allegation on Thursday, Soknacki and his campaign won’t provide proof — pulled from 2,000 pages of documents released by the city through a Freedom of Information request — until next week.

[...]

Soknacki said they haven’t released the documents yet because there are some private names in the documents and they are trying to ensure it is OK to release them.

Is this a promo for Rob Ford: The Musical?

Regardless, all kinds of awesome. Notleast of which being the guitar player looks to have either a Jazzmaster or Jaguar. Nice guitars, both.

It's a jazzmaster with those big soap bar pickups and long scale neck.

(Proud owner of a Jazzmaster)

This whole saga has reminded me of the rise and fall of Joseph McCarthy. He was popular for less time than people think and when he lost favor, he crashed hard. Towards the end of his political career, when no one took him seriously, he would often be drunk in the senate and died of alcoholism.
