Not sure if this is the right section to post this in (it could go into general discussions), but I've noticed over the years we've had a lot of rumours for proposals just floating around in different threads. It would be nice to consolidate them into a single thread we could look back at to see what we got right and wrong.

To start, where/what do we all think this Allies & Morrison project will be?

A new building seems to make sense, but in other ways, it makes me wonder why someone would choose a firm like Allies and Morrison if just doing a tower? It's a firm you'd pick if you wanted something special for maybe an institutional type project. New campus for AUA?
Maybe something involving the Bay building?
Grand Central station?

I didn't choose downtown tower because any number of firms can do that easier and for less money, unless someone wanted to another fancy mixed use Telus Sky type deal, but I don't see that happening right now. There's no demand for office space, and limited demand on high end residential. I would guess something for the Educational campuses (UofC, MRU, AUA or SAIT).

I voted 'other'. A lot of people voted BMO hotel, but we have the Stampede hotel, and the Truman Marriotts already. I hope it's something to do with the Bay building, that would be very awesome.

Thats why I think it is the bmo parking lot. A&M does a lot of mixed-use multi-tower projects. I am guessing the McKinley Burkart proposal we saw a few months ago was the one that lost out to A&M's proposal.

Could be. That would be nice.

Remington Lands & Confluence Station (what Grand Central really should be called) would be my vote. BMO Parking lot is also pretty likely. Would be a nice surprise to see some action on the Brewery Lands in anticipation of the Green Line stop there.

Westbrook and Midtown would be great spots but I feel they don't have the prestige and history behind them for A&M to have much to dig into.

What is "BMO parking lot"? Like parking near the BMO centre, or the empty lot west of the BMO building downtown, or?

I remember this lot being labeled as “Hotel Site” at some point. Not sure if this is the BMO hotel site guys are talking about.
