Ethically I agree that it's not necessary that he step down, but politically wouldn't it be advantageous to get him out of there? I can't see many upsides to continuing to associate Transit City with someone who has become a toxic asset in the minds of voters. The last thing we need is for this to be "Giambrone's plan."

I doubt it. Even most right wing municipal politicians understand the need for the TTC. The divide usually seems to fall on where you stand regarding the union.
