Oops. Couldn't find the address or the name in the forum already, my bad. Thanks for sharing.Already have a thread for this one but those renders you posted I believe are new
The Merc Annex | 6s | Autograph | Hodgson Schilf Evans Architects Inc.
Project will be directly south of the Mercury Block where the existing Andrew Manor building is. The Merc Annex is proposed to be 6 storeys with 2 levels of underground parking, 65 residential units and commercial bays on the ground floor.edmonton.skyrisecities.com
There’s a bus route that uses that road, and it’s still a connection to the inner parts of the Oliver neighbourhood. This is a dumb question because I don't know the intersection well enough, but could you put in a traffic filter and essentially close that part of 102 Ave to vehicles between the buildings? I mean, now that there's no giant parking lot next to the old MEC, is there much vehicle traffic going through there?
Looking at the scale and materials used in these new renders I'd say yes they've shifted more towards a mercury block II kind of idea, although Mercury Annex might end up being the name.Merc 2 instead of Merc Annex?
166 residential unitsThis looks phenomenal and I’m happy to see the proposal has increased in size. How many units are in this phase now? 200?
The property to the south is/was owned by Leston. Maybe it is a joint venture.Looks like they nabbed some land essentially doubling (or more) the original concept. It now has internal circulation for retail/hospitality whereas that was not the case with the original proposal.
