Trucks were lined up early this Saturday morning for the big dig at Milan Residence. Saturday?

A trucker told me they are making up for lost time. The trucking company was replaced about three weeks ago for some reason.

Within an hour 19 trucks were filled, from 8 to 9 o'clock, and on their way. Each was filled with 4 scoops from the excavator.

The crane, I was told, is to arrive in the next week but not assembled immediately.

Where do they plan on placing it considering this site will not be ready for it until Sept, if then? If a moble crane is to show up, still too early.

I may have heard wrong about the crane coming within the week. Today I heard that they will be digging here until October, down 7 levels.

So the concrete is poured for the crane base. It will take a week to cure. Not much else is happening on the site today, so as not to disturb the concrete base. Later on the crane will be moved to the west, to the building's tower.

I learned today that concrete reaches its final strength in a 100 years. So each year that passes concrete gets stronger, for a hundred years.
