I get that they are trying to increase the look of the neighbourhood, but are they getting rid of ALL the block towers and replacing them with more modern looking apartments? And are they doing this to limit the amount of space being used because the old buildings take up a lot of space and the new modern looking ones don't.

The old buildings are in very very poor condition. The cost of fixing them up is prohibitive. Plus, the city can make lots of cash by opening some land to condo developers.
 
Clewes' most successful/significant building IMO, architecturally, urbanistically, environmentally, socially.

hey

does any one have any more information (etc. floor plans) on the red brick building, its all brick, or does any one have any pictures of it
