Amazing for a minor league team, too bad FC Edmonton could never get near those numbers. If they did, I'm sure they would still be playing.

^I was there! Felt very well attended (even more so than the above picture implies) and was a great time. Probably the best bang for your buck sports entertainment in Edmonton.

The beer bats are awesome. Bought one last year and gave the bat to my nephew as it was robust enough for batting practice at home.

No, it'll be Class A ball. Don't expect anything above that. MLB has basically killed high level ball from coming back to Canada.

I saw that the Vancouver C's, Blue Jay's High A affiliate averages around 6k attendance per game. The Buffalo Bisons, Jay's Triple A affiliate averages around 8k attendance per game. Wonder if Edmonton could swing for high A or AA.
But I do like the approach and atmosphere of the west coast league!

Going to see the Missoula Paddleheads take on the Glacier Range Riders ballgame the day after the Pearl Jam concert while we're meandering slowly through Montana. Their Pioneer League - I believe is of higher quality ball then our Riverhawks League.
