Why are you concerned about changes to aA projects (and yes, it's aA, not Aa) in particular? No rendering is ever 100% for any architect's work, it's not something that afflicts aA in particular.

Seeing how the podium is only one level, and pretty standard as construction would go, the towers should rise off the base at a pretty good clip from here on.

The podium is two levels.

nope ... ground level retail only .... the floor above ground (labelled as mezzanine on the plans) is where the lower level of the shared recreational amenities will located including the swimming pool and fitness centre, the 2nd floor will serve as the upper amenities level with party rooms, dining room, board room, management office and meeting rooms etc ~

So, level 2 will be at same level as the highway? Well, let's hope no one skinny dips or else it's gonna create a huge traffic accident at the gardiner.

IMO, this is a very suburban-like condo complex to be built downtown... you simply can't build these things in cities like NY or Chicago... just not possible for a hard-core downtown... This land below the railway tracks is extremely unique... it's a wide open space downtown, that is full of holes, and is being built up... it'll be interesting to see in 10 years whether the developers made a right choice in building what they did (this includes everything Southcore and around it). i don't think this area (or any area) near below the railway tracks will ever be a true "downtown" environment (like the rest of the city above it), by that i mean dense and busy city streets with regular city blocks and a regular grid-like system...

a complex like ICE being built in prime downtown real-estate isn't exactly to my liking, but then again, this land is irregular.

Ice Condominiums at York Centre (12, 14 and 16 York Stret) will definitely be connected to the PATH underground walkway.

Underground or Elevated? Pretty much all things PATH south of Front, both current (Skywalk, ACC-to-MLSq, Telus-to-PWC) and future (ACC-to-Waterpark), are in the so-called +15 strata. Putting as much PATH pedestrian flow for that whole end of the downtown core at a consistent level would be ideal for improving the network's utility and convenience, surely?

The PATH connection from Ice Condominiums at York Centre (12, 14 and 16 York Street) to MLS (15 York Street) will be underground.
