Yes, much smarter investors than the first one. These upgrades were not that expensive and well worth it.

My issue I guess is they should not be upgrades in the first place. The upgrades in the units you're speaking of are standard in the majority of the projects in the city, especially the ones in that area.

Anyways, it's not that big of a deal as finishes can easily be changed. The building itself is still very nice.

The biggest peeve, although minor, was Sorbara's decision that "designer sink and faucet" in the APS finishes schedule meant in the end laminate countertop and overmount porcelain sink. We actually wanted to change the wording as an ammendment during our cooling off period but we we were reassured by Sorbara that it would be something tasteful and not laminate. We expected marble as a minimum. We missed it and this one for the lesson books. Sorbara's "designer" no longer works for the company we later found out.

Ok so all those upgraded units shown are rubbish. This is what a basic unit should look like here:

i didn't see anything but artist's renderings.

what i find interesting about these units, is that all the 2 bedroom units of 900+sf only had 1 1/2 bathrooms vs. TO projects, which will try to squeeze in 2 bath in the smallest 1 bed + den units of 650-750 sf

I don't think this is a fair comparison from a project launching in 2012 versus one four years ago.
For this one in Montreal, there is no features sheet so you can't tell what is standard yet.

Compare a Mtl development similar to this area (a fair comparison would be M9 Phase 3 completing now) for example:

Colour in the kitchen--imagine!

Even M9 Phase 1 (completed 2-3 years ago) is better looking, check out this unit:

You can get colour here, too. Not like we're on another planet. Besides, how many people will go for a couple of purple cabinet doors?

And you think you are a design expert. Geez.

Landscaping coming very soon. Sprinkler system was fully installed last week.
The building also registered last Friday, even before folks took occupancy on the 11th floor. Good on Sorbara for turning over building so quickly.

That is fast! Let's hope those people on the top floors already have mortgages ready to go!
