There's something about how slowly this is happening that makes it somehow even worse.
I didn't even like the original building, but this is just bad.
 
It's definitely an old tower, so I'm happy some investment is being put into it to make it more relevant and appealing to those looking to lease there. I applaud its re cladding as it is a very visible building to those looking at it from Nathan Phillips Square. I actually love this building. It's a box yes, but there is something about it that has always caught my eye. The vertical lines are something we don't often see in modern towers today. I like how B+H close to keep its character crown and not climate it visually. Also in terms of locations, the view doesn't get much better also.

I am really interested as to how they do the ground floor. Opening up the ground floor with some transparent glass, would really improve the former bunker aesthetic (as opposed to simply re-cladding with large blank panels of opague glass).

I will partially forgive this reclad if they improve the bottom floor. Key word: partially. ;)
