I still need to see this building IRL. But based on photo updates, it looks quite positive so far.

Interesting change for Church here. I'll have to get down and check it out; things in this stretch always felt a bit grim.

Taken last evening...

It's filling up the frame in those photos and it makes it look a lot more overbearing than it is. In person it doesn't seem out of scale to me. And I'm kind of glad they've added as much commercial density as they have. It should help to generate a bit of daytime traffic to the neighbourhood

Agreed. Church should be transformed into a retail street across the barren stretches.

It already has a high walking traffic thanks to Ryerson. May as well compliment it with retail.

not going to happen. All the podiums of highrise condos will not create a retail street we typically desire. Those retails often just serve the daily needs of the residents. Church st will just turn into another Bay st between Gerrard and Bloor.

In 10 years, Church st below the village will still be a boring street, although probably not as dead as it is now.

Another Bay Street is arguably an improvement compared to what it is now.

I definitely agree. Current church st looks sad. I prefer some boring towers over this any day because at least they bring hundreds of people to the core.
