Still not a big fan of this development. However, I walked by the site the other day for the first time and it looks somewhat less mundane in person. I think Sherbourne Common gets a lot of the credit for enlivening the block. It shows how otherwise boring buildings can still work well if there is good street-level animation nearby.

This cell phone capture makes the rooftop light feature appear much brighter than it actually is. Nevertheless, I have to believe the south facing residents in Monde across the street at that level may find it an annoying.

That orange stretcher and float really look out of place. Really wish they could hide it or put it somewhere not too visible. Like really, is that necessary for a hot tub?
Though I agree that the float seems unnecessary in a hot tub the reason these emergency supplies are orange IS to make them visible. If there is an emergency you REALLY want it to be obvious where stuff like this is.

It's not the colour that's questionable. Its the fact these items are here for a hot tub. Surely there's a pool there somewhere?

If you look to the right of the photo there is a 'skimmer pole' on wall below the clock so I assume the pool is nearby.

The funny thing is that the pool is all the way up on the roof 14 stories up while all the other amenities are on the P1 level.

I suppose that may make sense due to the fact the pool will only be in use for a few months while the majority of the facilities all be used all year.

So the 'skimmer pole' is not near a pool but is for the hot tub?
