Scotia Plaza looks brand new in that shot though it's 26 years old already.

They don't. Make buildings like that anymore. The 70s and 80s were good decades for developing office buildings in Toronto. The facades weren't always made in 100% glass and if they were the glass was tinted in other colour than blue green.

Same with the BMO building. They both still look fantastic.

BMO was completely reclad a couple of years ago. Its original marble cladding was badly weathered and falling off the tower. Scotia Plaza has its original cladding.

BMO was sort of ugly before the recladding, it looks better than it ever did today. Scotiaplaza is just pure class, from the day it opened.

Yep, BMO looked rough before the recladding, but looks solid now. Scotiaplaza is just structural art from top to bottom. It's beautiful.

Shows what I know lol
Now I'm off to Google Images to see how it used to look

Is anything going to happen with that massive parking lot in the first pic above? What a blight!

But up close it's not as great, especially the podium.

If you're referring to BMO, yeah, I agree. The podium looks like Mario big world or something. But still, overall the building is an improvement on the scuzziness it was before.
