Yes indeed (when viewed from the north/south) .... but from the east/west though this is a very wide SLAB building

Very true, it looks quiet fat from the east/west right now. Scotia is of similar massing but its height gives it a slimming effect. Burano east/west still has that slab look and the north/south is no where near as slender and tall looking as Scotia north/south. It'll be interesting to see if how much of a difference the final 11 floors will make.

yup, Scotia is the same, it looks really fat when viewed directly on it's fat side (which i don't like), but the minute you get an angle going, it looks amazing,

Fantastic pic! The canyon at college is completely balanced on both sides now, all thanks to burano! And it's only gonna get better.

And from street level in drum's pics, burano is finally looking mega tall condo!
 
According to the current construction schedule, Burano is expected to have:
  • roof structure completed by end of October 2011
  • exterior envelope (window wall) completed by end of December 2011
  • first occupany in June 2012

According to the construction records, Burano will be 50 storeys (all 4s and 13 is included in the numbering)
