Removal of the bridge exposes an opportunity. The second floor above Oakley can now be used as a high profile store, mirroring the Harry Rosen on the other side. The new bridge will run from the middle of the gallery.

There's room for a store about the standard width with room still left for a hallway to the office tower. Or they can take over Second Cup, Kiels, and the soon to close BCBG and create another megastore facing Queen Street.
 
Will the new bridge connect to the Eaton Centre at the same spot as the old one, or just next to it?
It will extend south from east of where the previous one was.

I mentioned earlier in the thread that removing the bridge would open up the vistas. The streetscape looks better without it--an elegant canyon of new and old.
