What if Line 5 "extension" opens before the Line 5 itself? That feat should find a place in Guinness Book of World Records, I think.
They usually get their for 6:xx and a lot of them live further out. I don't see them waking up 40 mins to an hour earlier to take transit.Just wait until Ontario Line gets started downtown. Laydown and parking space will be very challenging.
I wonder if anyone has thought of requiring construction workers to come by transit or park their cars further away with a dedicated shuttle service. The current mindset which lets construction people park where they like may not be appropriate.

Avenue Rd would be a north-south or loop at Avenue Rd and Eglinton. Mount Pleasant would use St Clair/Yonge Station. 34 would disappear or be like 97
With construction started on the Line 5 extension from Renforth Station to the Pearson Transit Hub.

Why have a bus terminal when the bus is running from end to end on the street like the 97 does as an all day line??That would make sense, but Avenue station won't have a bus terminal, which would be odd unless it continued to Eglinton.
That video is how old??That's started already!? Would it be done by 2030?
It's in the design and negotiation stage between the GTAA (federal government), Ontario governement, Metrolinx, and Mississauga government. Which means years or decades before your grandchildren will see it.That's started already!? Would it be done by 2030?

Caledonia Station is even deeper. It is at the crest of the hill going down to Keelesdale Station.
With lighter trains and deeper tunnels, I doubt there will be any noticeable transmission of noise or vibration to nearby residents.Caledonia Station is even deeper. It is at the crest of the hill going down to Keelesdale Station.

The bored tunnels are deep to reduce the transmission of vibration and noise to the surface. Should be quieter than the Line 2 Bloor-Danforth, which was cut-n-cover.
That's an awful amount of empty white space on the walls. That's screaming for some art smh.
No colour allowed. Some orange accents would be nice though...That's an awful amount of empty white space on the walls. That's screaming for some art smh.
