It looks like a Montreal Metro station. We need more such design excellence in our transit stations.

Taken today. Not much visible change on the bus terminal:

Work has begun on the roadway in the bus terminal:

The York University Busway between Keele Street and Tangiers Road was closed in June to make way for the commuter parking lot. Some progress has been made, but much of the space is still being used as a construction staging area:

They are also preparing to shift traffic to the east side of Keele St to restore the west side:

Peeling that blue plastic off will take a day or two. (I kept the plastic on my new microwave's controls for three years.) Paving another week. Sod and landscaping another week.

I can't believe how slow construction has been at this station. This was one of the simpler stations on the line and yet Bondfield really messed up. I hope they can finish it by December - less than 4 months to go.

Posted in the TYSSE thread, this is probably better spot:

They have finally started putting on what looks to be like cladding or some sub-cladding layer on Finch West station today. It is red coloured, but that might just be a protective layer that peels off. Sorry, no pictures yet.

Hmmm, before I had doubts that they would finish this by December. I think we have hope now.

What do you guys think?

At construction sites of new subdivisions, people move in while they continue to work on the outside, including landscaping. Same here, people will be going in and out as finishing construction continues around them.

Makes sense as to why we haven't seen much change in the facade over the past few months, they've likely been focusing on getting the overall infrastructure and roadways ready.
