I was thinking the same thing. Seems like quite an over sight.

Probably because it wouldn't make much of a difference from many, if not most angles;
(i.e. its mostly empty space looking from the ground up since the louvers are angled down)

Couldn't some of the vents been painted white to continue the vertical strip theme?

The solution here wouldn't be painting them, the architects could have specified the same white spandrel panels here as the rest of the tower, to continue the theme.

I actually find the vents to be quite well-integrated into the south elevation, we'll see how convincing the effect is when it's fully clad.

Does anyone know why they've been taking so long to finish the last bit of cladding? It's been going at a snail's pace ever since May it seems. Is it because they need to be able to haul stuff through the top floors?

finishing the penthouse seems like the longest time period of the construction of this tower.

21 December 2013: Looks like kitchens are complete on many levels--ppl moving in soon?

I'm concerned it may be a failure where it matters: ground level
