With so many brand-new buildings that obviously have fully underground servicing, what are the odds Hydro takes the opportunity here to remove the hideous wooden poles along Bathurst to replace them with something befitting a modern city?

Who am I kidding, I know...

The problem is that there are still quite a few small buildings that hook up to them. If they get rid of them every building with the old hookup has to reroute their electrical. Doing this unleashes a gigantic mess as anything that is changed needs to be brought up to current code and it becomes of those jobs where you don't don'e know where to stop the renos. But, I agree with you, Toronto feels like some developing country in southeast Asia with this cobweb of wires in the air.
