Crap, then another box. The base is just ok for this location imo.
 
I can't find it but was there not a mockup of a curtainwall detail for this project we saw posted in this thread at some point? Or a detail rendering at a large scale?
It was of curtainwall fins with a mechanical PH behind it perhaps - something that was part of a mechanical roof with a rounded corner, with the curtainwall fins set in front. It looked great. Trying to track it down...

It's not ugly, and it'll help revitalize the block to the northwest of Nathan Phillips Square. But it's disappointing to get another high-profile architect and/or firm do a forgettable building in its portfolio like Philip Johnson and the CBC building or Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and the watered down St. Lawrence Market North building. What are the odds we'll see those unique balconies on the east facade?
