A second shoring rig (the green unit) has arrived at the main station entrance site on the south side of King Street. While set up activities are continuing on the south side of King, drilling has actually started on the north side site.

From yesterday, April 10: Lots of activity at the King Bathurst station site - in particular for the south side. Two shoring rigs drilling constantly - at one point there were three concrete trucks at the site to fill the newly drilled holes. In addition to all work on the site itself, a major electrical power service upgrade is underway to provide the electricity required - Stewart Street to Portland, and Portland down to Wellington are being dug up for installation of new cable conduits and cables. Much fun in our neighbourhood.

May 14: The King Bathurst station sites are at a kind of boring stage, with the repetitive shoring activities currently underway. However, this was something I had not previously seen - what appears to be some maintenance activities on one of the shoring rigs:

...opposed to that it's not at the boring stage when the excavation is taken underground?

It appears that It was actually the first stage of dismantling the rig prior to removal from the site.
