I don't think balconies are included in the square footage as they are considered a common element

That is correct..:)

*cough* one bloor *cough*

not only from an exterior point of view do balconies detract... but when I'm inside a condo... with a full wall of glass, I want to see a VIEW, not half-view, half-railing/chairs/plants (or whatever else people put on balconies)

Terraces are a different story altogether... so yes... only the Penthouse of the Ritz has.. "terraces" and BOY what a penthouse.... I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable so high up on those terraces though...

SPH units (51st floor) also have balconies.

My brother-in-laws unit at City Place was sold to him as a 520 sq ft + 25 sq ft balcony for 545 sq ft. I'm pretty sure they marketed it as 545 sq ft.

Could very well be....resale agents are not supposed to calculate it this way, but I suppose builders sometimes do....but it is misleading, as Darkstar is correct that balconies are a common element - technically they dont belong to you..

From yesterday. Because of all the snow we got recently the site looks as if it's been untouched for years.

Wow - that's a little vertigo inducing.

Couldn't they have placed the cam on a building a little further away from the site (but still within view obviously...)?
