Amazing to see the changes going on here. Reminded me of a previous article on UT showing a photo of the parking lots from 2006 and then again from 2010.

And now two years later, this little pocket of the City has grown even more. For someone who hadn't been to a Leaf's game since 2005, they would probably be in shock at all the new construction...and lots more to come...

lol!!!

I'm real skeptical about the Delta tower as to what type of cladding they will be using. the renders weren't very clear on that.. as for the Bremner tower, I expect no more of the PWC cladding (which was really nice)

Sota Glazing Inc. is doing the curtainwall (Hybrid-Wall®) for Delta - http://www.sotawall.com/portfolio/Canada/DeltaHotel-afcc/

Scroll down this page to learn more about the Hybrid-Wall® system - http://www.sotawall.com/products/

Sota has done some nice projects, such as MARS 2, Bridgepoint, FCP, The Bow, Ritz, George Brown to name a few.

What is the concrete pillar in front to be used for?

That's gonna hold shit up.

LMAO!!!

And upon closer inspection you will note it is actually a podium elevator shaft and not just a kick-ass column.

Darn, I thought you were going to post a picture of a porta potty on top of that pillar ...

Lots of steelwork going up for the podium of the Delta hotel today, between the tower and the Bremner frontage. Tower going up at a pretty fast clip, too!

in 9 days they have build 1.5 floors.. nice pace. Interesting to see that the podium is going to be steel construction. And the Office Tower is finally starting to go up as well!

I am liking that shape a lot - can't wait to see cladding! Great update Jasonzed

Yep, great update. Thanks for that. This one is exciting, and is proceeding at a nice, rapid pace.

Maybe it's just because of the perspective, but wow look how close the tip of the crane for the office tower is to the PwC building next door.

Ptbotrmpfn commented recently in the Aura thread about how beautiful Toronto is and about all of the great photos in the various UT threads. This one is no exception, the project is very photogenic. I love the CN Tower reflections showing up over here.

I once started to write a post to credit just some of the people posting really good pictures and it turned into a very long and odd sounding read. Suffice to say there are too many people to congratulate for so many awesome pictures. Thanks for letting me play too.
