Yup.. Wasn't expecting this to start so soon.

Eglinton from Yonge to Bayview is just one big closed off sidewalk now....

Eglinton, and Yonge, and Redpath. Unfortunately streets like Soudan, Roehampton, and Broadway have very narrow sidewalks to begin with.

There's now construction on all four roads leading to Eglinton and Redpath!
 
Took a walk up Redpath a couple days back and noticed that the entire south cladding has already been removed. They're going about it really quickly!

Wow that did not take long!

There was a patch of grass where many living in the buildings nearby would take their dogs to pee. It is now boarded up.

Is any of the existing structure being retained, or is this just a meticulous demolition?
 
This building doesn't have approvals yet does it? or am I missing something?
To demolish a commercial building in the city of Toronto all you need is a basically a demo permit. Different than residential where you have to submit plans and get approval for what you will put in its place.
