The south face of this one is great, but the north face is crap. And with the north face looking down on King street, it presents its ugliest side to the side that people will be looking at the most.

I agree the south side looks decent ... don't quite understand why the design elements from the south was not carried onto the north face

Nice pics. Turned out better than I expected, though I wish the terracotta coloured framing extended up the tower on the north side.

ditto

Meets the street pretty decently. Now we just need to hire some kids to kick that utility pole back to a 90' angle. (See second pic.)

The public realm in this city. I tell ya.

Originally I feared the crown would make it look a bit too top heavy but that doesn't seem to be the case. Not a bad project.

Have people started to move in?

Yes.

The front doors are quite cool: they are larger than the entry hall behind them, which protrudes from the front of the building. The doors seem to sit out front, on their own, no hinges visible. I should have taken a close-up.

I love the mullion-less glass box entry and the completely covering front doors, extending from what looks like a stainless steel frame. Great details!

Yeah, I agree. That looks really good. I haven't minded this project from the get go, but the finished product exceeds my expectations.

Great shots of the entrance, 42, especially that last one. There are some nice details here and while not groundbreaking, the project is quite handsome.

It's hard not to shoot the entry area when walking by the Mercer—BBB did a superb job on this.
