Official website has been revamped in anticipation for sales on the residential units. All previous content has been removed in favour of a simple registration portal. Nothing significant for now, aside from a backdrop of a stunning residential unit, but expect much more in September.

Looks like they're digging around the perimeter of the old foundations. Hopefully they don't find anything historic or it'll be years before we see any progress!

I'm not sure what sat on that plot historically. There was a 19th century potter's field nearby from what I recall, with bodies allegedly still there.

Where could the people who are still buried there be? The Toronto Historical Association contention that 5,000 people are still under the soil in the area there begs the question where can they possibly be? It has all been dug through and redeveloped.

In any case, yup, Potters Field was on the north side of Bloor: The One shouldn't have to worry about any skeletons being uncovered.

It is a bit of a mystery it seems. http://www.citynews.ca/2016/04/13/watch-where-you-walk-key-toronto-areas-built-on-cemeteries/

Excerpt: While Williamson said the state of development at Yonge and Bloor likely indicates there are no more human remains to be found in the area, he also said someone is usually left behind when a cemetery is moved.

Beecroft, on the other hand, offered a different answer.

“When the subway was put through, all that cemetery was dug up and carted out, and dumped on the Leslie Street Spit,” she said. “So there are several thousand burials, burial parts, body parts, disturbed graves, [and] disturbed bodies in the Leslie Street Spit.”

How times change!
