Maybe they're just digging up the corpse of the dead casino proposal.

Don't know if it's been in the ground long enough to become oil just yet.

^I guess once The HUB is approved and U/C, they will start working on union park.
Looks like they are already working on getting this 1.5 billion dollar project going?

I was looking at the renders in Database and it brought back the memories of 2012 when this project was proposed. I remember that excitement which was shot down after few months :(

Now that we are back on this thread and know that 160 Front is under construction and Union Centre pretty well looks like a go
i bet Oxford is working on building on this future financial intersection with a tall tower at the s/w corner of Front + Simcoe where the hotel sits now, it was always their intention to demolish the hotel and build a new one towards Blue Jays way
Id say bring back the Shopping Mall, Convention Centre, Rail Park, Casino/Entertainment Centre concept back...after all it is the Entertainment District
Hey, i'd rather have it all here than Ontario Place

I like the idea but the highrise buildings should be only a certain height being too close to CN Tower. You don't want to give the CN Tower a dwarfed look in my opinion.
