Well P+S/IBI has been mediocre at best with many of their projects, save the new Delta hotel. I wonder if Foster is still involved

This is what I am hoping for. Burka was the "local" partner for Absolute world, and those turned out wonderfully, so if they are just the local partner it probably isn't too big of an issue. as the lead architect? maybe not so much.


This is just more office space in a sea of available space however, I have to wonder how long it will be until it can secure a tenant.

P+S was also the local architect for L Tower.

I'll be shocked if Oxford is handing over this signature office project to IBI architects. I'll take this as a positive sign, as it means that an international firm (e.g. Foster + Partners) is likely involved.

I hope the design for the 1000+ foot offer towers stay the same.

They will probably go looking for public money to back that part, governments are usually willing to spend a bit on that type of stuff.

Premium new office space is being absorbed as soon as it comes online. And overall vacancy is only 4.4% in the core.

No. After the casino was squashed, immediately after at the Land and Development Conference, Oxford said that it was still a go. I am looking forward to new news, however

Hi, so is there a confirmation on how many towers there will be on this site and what the mix is (i.e. one office, one hotel, one residential - either rental or condo)?

I really hope these new office tower proposals materialize...they are the jewel of our downtown crown!
