Cash is no longer king...
Cash will always be king...
I use it so infrequently I hadn't noticed the king is now on our cash.

I honestly don't care who's on the coins and bills. I'm happy to know my tipping in cash at restaurants ensures that the server gets 100% of that tip, the restaurant can’t take a percentage of it.
...except for those quarters with "king" George on it that don't fit in my building's laundry machines that I have to worry about. >.<

An excellent point! Though even I don't carry THAT much cash these days - seems a bit peevish to pay the bill by card, but the tip by cash. At the same time, I'm seeing more restaurants who don't take credit that I've seen previously.

For fast food and the like, a big advantage of using cash, is that you avoid the bizarre demands for a tip, when it's completely inappropriate. I hadn't even realized that Pizza Pizza now had you stepping through a tipping dialogue until I recently grabbed a slice, and had run out of cash. Tap really isn't touch free anymore ...

Wow, look at the roof of that GO locomotive! I'm not sure I've seen a photo of that much soot before!

At least not since the trains on that line used coal! :)
Clearly burning unrefined waste cooking oil or oil from the oil sands!
