No updates for the building progress these days???? I am wondering how they can achieve the promised Oct 2022 move in date......fat chance?/??

Here's where the cranes were from across the Gardiner yesterday:

…so you can only see one of the two cranes. It would take a miracle for this to be done by Oct. Maybe if you're on a low floor?

Actually October sounds good. That is October 2023. Over the years, I have seen a number of Conservatory Group projects get built - North York (Pearl Place now under construction as well as its earlier phases) Milan Condominium on Church, next to the Yonge subway, and Infinity Condos at Simcoe and Bremner. The one thing all these projects have in common is they have been slow to get built. Painfully, excrutiatingly slow. Watching molasses flow uphill in winter slow, to be built.

Conservatory Group used to have some competition from Todd Glen construction in the slowest to build stakes, but Todd Glen seems to have quite upped their game over the past few years. (If I recall correctly, Todd Glen built the first four City Place buildings for Concord Adex - the ones on the north side of Front Street, east of Spadina - and was never used again by the developer).

So now, in my opinion, of the major developers, Conservatory Group is in a class by itself in this regard.

They tend to sit on their approvals forever before building too - they sat on this one forever, on their two north York sites, and I think they have a few other sites with the entitlements in place but no movement towards construction.

Approval for what? Additional floors? Cheers!

@innsertnamehere is saying that as opposed to developers who get their zoning and site plan approvals (and buildings permits) one after the other and then start building immediately, the Conservatory Group will get those approvals and then may sit on them for a few years before they start building.

Things are up at Conservatory. Anyone here have more insight than what's in the articles below?

This actually explains why it has been so difficult in dealing with the Conservatory Group. Sometimes it feels like I'm uncovering a conspiracy when talking to the builder or City staff regarding this development. Thanks for sharing.

Glad to see that work is continuing here during the trouble at the company, at least those who have purchased here look like they have a building still under construction. I assume a conservatorship and a financing agrrangement of some kind is seeing this through.
