It's one thing getting your view blocked by a rising building and a whole other having to stare at this particular mess forever more. My heart goes out to the Karma condo residents.

Joking aside, I'd cut the tower some slack if the podium wasn't so awkward and if it at least acknowledged its proximity to one of the city's major intersections

What is the outline on the right? Is that the Mariott redevelopment at 475 Yonge?

I feel like the white and black balconies can salvage this design slightly.

It'll simply be an uglier version of G+C's Lago, since there'll be more areas without balconies (and thus more ugly window wall for everyone to see).
 
To me, it's a very similar level of ugly to Aura, minus the curtain wall top portion, so therefore even worse looking.
