Really wish I could like this entire complex, but it's hard to - if only they have used proper brick and stone at the lower levels...

The area is so...what..estranged?...from the city here. It needs a few years to pick up before I'd move in.

The thing that stands out is the almost total lack of animation at street level. Part of that is the street design which is not really designed for human circulation, and the other part is the dearth of any retail, restuarants etc. Feels like in belongs in Vaughan or Markham, but even those places arguably have more life than this.

Looks like the crane is coming down

While I like the setbacks on the main tower I have to say this is probably the worst condo I've seen in the core in the last decade or so ... I cannot believe the balcony doesn't have any glass, rather the railings ...

Plazacorp strikes again. What garbage.

Can we delete everything housed within the Fort York Blvd, Lake Shore Blvd, Bathurst St area and start over?

Walking through this neighbourhood is not a pleasant experience, much like Liberty Village. Toronto does not seem to be good at building new neighbourhoods. They all seem so sterile and ordinary. There is no gathering place or heart of this community. Would it have killed them to build a retail component as a central focus, where people could feel some sense of community or life? What a badly planned neighbourhood, this has turned out to be.

Hopefully West Don Lands turns our differently. One thing is for sure, that neighbourhood has been meticulously planned.

Toronto is generally a cold and segregated city IMO. These neighborhoods are just an extension of that. Phase 1 was cool...then they ruined it with phase 2,3,4,5,6,7.... Talk about overkill.

Yes but most of the times it works out because the condo's go up on what is an already vibrant area ... and the density only serves to help this ...

But when building from scratch, its generally not so great !

But the east bayfront has already shown it'll be different ... I don't see how anyone can argue against that ...
