clicking on the subway/rt page, it looks like they started to number the different lines.

The 3 Scarborough RT has six stations...

The 4 Sheppard Subway has five stations..."

also, there is no system map. this is s critical thing that is missing. even if they are working on a new one, at least put up the old one.
 
The numbering system was one of Gunn's pet projects, but it never caught on in the public side of things.

The sign in front of the Bedford Road entrance is really the only place where it was implemented.
 
I can't find where the PDF's of the Service Improvements for... for 2008 and previous years. It's a good thing I saved copies for myself, but in case of problems on my side I would like to know that achieve copies are available.
The files are still on the website for now at least - but nothing seems to link to them anymore:

Having been involved in multi million dollar web work, I can tell you $432,000 for a full service website such as the one that the TTC needs is VERY reasonable.
 
Perhaps a little too reasonable given that they haven't even got a bus map, the most basic of elements, up yet. I guess this is what happens when you award it to the lowest bidder!
 
Not the “lowest”*bidder

For the umpteenth time, the redesign was not awarded to the “lowest”*bidder but the only qualified bidder. And their bid total was significantly above TTC’s allotted budge.
 
???? They generally award to the lowest qualified bidder. If there is only one qualified bidder (which seems pretty twisted, given how many bids there were), it still gets awarded to the lowest qualified bidder.
 
When awarding a contract, one first checks which bids meet what was asked for (i.e., they are qualified). TTC is quite ruthless at tossing any bid that doesn't have all the i's dotted and t's crossed. This is before they even open the pricing information.

The previous MAP was huge and took forever to load ... I like this idea a lot better ... I don't see why it's "appalling" unless your referring to the delay.
 
With service changes, I guess that means new maps. It should have appeared at the same time as the service changes went into affect. Though most of the changes were scheduling, not the routes themselves.

It's about 1MB which isn't that large, really. The real problem is rendering/drawing time.
