The outgoing CEO was not a developer, so this change may not be for the worst in the long run. The biggest issue with the Trust has been meddling by the board who were mostly living in the 1990s in terms of their vision. The Trust needs licence to be creative, which they have so far not been given. Thankfully there has been some turnover at the board level as well, but I'm still not super optimistic.

It really does feel piecemeal. Outside of the central quad, everything feels like a random assortment of buildings with half the walkways between them being random alleys and service lanes and such.

Needs a lot of love to rival something like UBC.

What I would love to see is a new Arts building and revamp of Humanities on the lot just south, with some residential above or along 110st as part of it.

Similarly, an expansion of Law to the north of their building, along with some housing along 110st.

EAS's parking lot should have some expansion for social sciences with a couple of towers with townhouse bases along Sask Dr.

The SOB needs to take over that underused single storey site to the SW of their building for a new signature business tower, along with some office space for campus.

The University President has declared a pause on future development with the exception of the effort to create a pedestrian spine between SUB and HUB -- lack of funding and Provincial support for major developments. The next major change involves the demolition of the one-time Admin. Building (along the planned spine route).
